Mosaic Art

Mosaic art can be as simple or complex as you want to make it. A craft that has been around for thousands of years, it is still fun to experiment with. Here is a simple, but effective mosaic idea for the kids.

First of all, a quick peek at what your finished product will look like..
All set? Okay, here goes….

You will need:

 

• A collection of old magazines or coloured paper
• Glue
• A Black felt pen
• A Plastic container, or drink bottle

Method:
First tear out pieces of paper from the magazines of varying size and colour. Sort the pieces into piles of similar colour.

Select a plastic container and a colour theme or pattern, and glue pieces of the chosen colour onto the container so you cover the whole surface.

At this point it will look something like this….

Once the glue has dried, draw a line with the black felt around the edges of each of the pieces of paper. The finished effect is a simple but quite effective bit of mosaic art
